The lates Mercedes C Class has been around fro a few years now and is the third generation of its kind. We decided it was time we found some reviews and let our readers catch up with this what is sometimes called an entry executive model competing with the BMW 3 series and Audi’s very popular A4 range. It woud be wrong to suggest all C Classes are the same as the variables in models is huge in terms of engines adn internal spec, but this 5th Gear review is based on the C320CDI sp you will need to make adjsutments and review the Mercedes C Class directly and the offical website. It looks much chunkier than the older model although I doubt Mercedes will be pleased to hear this termanology, but one thing that most reviewers will be looking for is quality of build as many believe this has slipped over the last decade and in fact are deemed too expnsive by some. While everyone celebrates in Great Briton about Jenson Button winning the drivers chmponship, behind the scenes Ross Brawn and Mercedes celebrate winning the constructors championship. Now the rumours are rife that Mercedes may want a part of the team and want to buy into it, something that Mclaren its other engine partner may not want to hear, after all who would get priority to development. Mercedes helped Brawn out big style with only 3 weeks to go to the start of the season and offered to put their engines in the Honda designed chassis withiout signing a single contract.
It should no be surprsing that this success story would have influenecd Mercedes to want to be part of the team on a more permanent basis. It is an unusual story in a time where cost cutting seems to be the priority in F1 and huge changes are about. BMW are pulling out at the send of this season and are still looking for a buyer, this was a team that may have seen tis year as a winnng or a least challenging for the title year. Instead, performance has been dreadfull, where Merecedes chance in a Brawn turned out to be a goldmine with no one forseeing this dream partnersip win.
With one more reace to go, lets hope all these rumpurs are put to rest for next season.
Who would have though that the star engine in a formula one car at the beginning of the year would be Mercedes, well we might have, but this would have been the Mclaren Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton who won the championship last year. However Mclaren’s start was not that impressive for the first part of the year to the pint they have given up on the championsip. \you would have though teh m\mercedes team would have been quietly disapointed, but as it turns out hey have scored a double whammy this season. This is becuase as Mclaren did not score points the newly formed Brawn racing did, in fact it won 6 out of the first 7 races. then Rubens has gone and won another 2 races, making a total of 8 for the Brawn team, keeping the smiles on the Mercedes engined team.
If this was not enough, Mclaren have now got their act together and have also just started to win races again, adding another 2 to the Mercedes tally.
The argument that motorsport and especially F1 is all about aerodynamics now-adays may have some credence, but there must be a connection between the reliability of the Mercedes Formula One engines and the wins they have produced. Mercedes have been releasing some new road models recently and have been working hard to get over the “quality of build” issues that many motoring magazine have criticised them for, so lets hope some lessons learned in the motorsport area can be transfered in to the mercedes you and me drive.
This is when the newest Mercedes E Class was revealed in Detroit the night before the show was to start. In short, more room, better quality and decent miles per gallon for both deisel and petrol engines. They say it is a return to the standards of yesterday. The car has been on sale in the UK for some time now and is certainly a looker compared to the old designs. the Mercedes E Class may not quiet drive as well as the BMW 5 series but there is no doubt it is the nest car to driven in. Probably why you are more likely to see chaufers in one of these than the BMW. lets hope the quality really is there, programmes such as Top Gear have stated for years that Mercedes are too expensive and the competition had caught up. GTK concept is a new concept in the making of cars. Danish tuner Kleemann, one of the leading hardcore roadsters in the world has come up with a new Mercedes Benz car built from the most standard version. This newly built car has enormous speed and power compared to the standard version. The standard Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG was turned into a monster of 540 bhp. This milestone step taken by Kleemann is considered as one of the best moves for the future cars. It is expected that it may lead to a future line of Mercedes Benz cars built by Kleemann.
The new car derived from the standard AMG has 540 bhp which means that it can reach 62 mph from 0 in a matter of 3.7 seconds. This speed is much higher than a Ferrari F430. The new car can also reach a top speed of 190 mph. The traditional 5.4 liter V8 engine of the AMG model was supercharged by an additional supercharger. In the standard version, the V8 engine has 360bhp. Aside from this supercharger, huge 380mm vented brakes are also added to the car. The specially designed Kleemann alloy wheels of 20” are added to make the massive monster. Mercedes 7G tronic seven speed auto box is retained in the new car while a Kleemann limited slip differential is included in the car.
Even though several interior and important parts of the car are changed, roof, doors and windows of the AMG model are all retained in the new version. Car designer Christian Brandt helped Kleemann to achieve GTK concept introducing new styling along with carbon fibre body panels.

Lane assist: This lane keeping assist creates a vibration in the cars steering wheels if it perceives that it has moved unintentionally off the lane.
High beam assist: The camera which is wind-shield mounted helps to carefully detect cars from a distance and adjusts the headlight settings accordingly. Depending on the distance it surrounding lights it switches automatically between high-beam to low-beam and then to normal. It adjusts the low beams light from 984 feet to 220 feet this prevents the oncoming vehicle driver from being blinded by the light.
These are just a few, however apart from the obvious basics, the E-Class has two variants to choose from, the V6 E350 that has 268 horsepower and is 258 lb-ft, while the V8 has 382 horsepower and is 391 lb-ft. The difference is the steering wheels and wheels with four-spokes with a six pot, while the V8 wheels are three-spokes.

It’s the third year consecutively that Mercedes Benz has won the award for gaining the highest points in this customer survey. This gives Mercedes Benz the top notch sport for being the best car of that particular segment as well as the entire market.
The other winners in this segment saw for the first time the SLK-Class, which won for being the best in the Sub-compact segment.

The 2009 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study (APEAL) was comprehensively done by J.D. Powers reflect the sentiments of the buyers with their cars. This was recorded with just 3 months of driving between the months of December 2008 to February 2009.
