With online marketing an increasingly popular sales method for car manufacturers such as Mercedes, what are the pitfalls?
Bad implementation of SEO can cause huge problems for a firms online department as Mercedes country mates found in 2006. Google blacklisted the firm and reduced its page ranking to zero after the German firm broke its terms of use. The search engine accused the manufacturer of deceiving searchers by ‘sprinkling’ key words that show up on searches but not on the actual site. At the time Google commented saying:
"The quality of our index and search results is of the utmost importance to Google,"
BMW did immediately apologise and the ban only affected their .de domain site, however the damage and embarrassment caused by media attention associated with such a huge company couldn’t be undone. A reputable SEO company will use keywords correctly and hand in hand with Google algorithms to get the best results for your business. The reason behind Google’s popularity amongst online marketers is its worldwide dominance. Figures have shown the Google accounts for over 75% of all the worlds internet searches and is the market leader in every country except China,Japan,Russia,South Korea, Czech Republic where localised and national search engines reign supreme.
The reason for the increase in SEO popularity is down to the cheap and readily available online advertising space which is prime time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Compare this to the costs of premium analogue advertising – billboards, radio and potentially television and as stated previously you have an always prime time advertising platform.
Originally known as the Einspritzmotor range, which is German for ‘fuel injection engine’ the E Class has sold almost half a million vehicles since 2001.
The E Class can also be found with police and taxi modifications throughout Asia and the Far East as they are well renowned for their durability and size.
When it was first launched as a stand alone series in early 1993 many doubted the potential sales targets as competition in the luxury car market was massive, BMW had been having massive success with their 3 series and also 5 series but the E Class managed to take a 56.9% market share in Germany also the home land of BMW.
The latest W12 model which is a popular option for when looking at a Mercedes E class contract hire plan comes with a range of unique and innovative features alongside the token solid German engineering. Including lane monitoring equipment and the latest developments in night vision assistance.

One of the advantages of taking the CLK on contract hire is that a lot of leasing firms will include services as part of the monthly payments, the service costs for a brand new Mercedes CLK is not cheap.

Recently given approval to be used as a ‘London Black Cab’ the Mercedes Vito can offer a wide range of uses and services for your business.
Currently on its second generation this range recently underwent a facelift in mid-2010 in a bid to challenge the Ford Transit for its crown. Production has also started on Mercedes Vito electric range.
As you would expect with Mercedes the Vito is an excellent piece of engineering both in drivability and appearance, a sport model is also available that offers a little bit more to get you through the working week.
If you’re looking at getting a fleet of Vitos or even just the one then looking at a Mercedes Contract Hire might be the best option for you. As with any vehicles repairs will be needed and a lot of contract deals offer repairs and services as part of the hire deals. This is especially useful if you are doing a lot of miles in your vehicles and need them to be running consistently.
As a business you are also to claim up to 50% back on VAT against the running costs of a Mercedes Vito. By using a vehicle leasing site you can compare and gauge the market before laying any money down.
There is a bouyant market out their for car salvage as a whole, but when it comes to costs against a working model Mercedes probably has the least differernce within. IN fact here have been many times where you would question why anyone would pay the amount they have for a Mercedes salvage project when they could buy a fully working car for not much less. The answer lies within the parts that make up the car. Yes there is a huge demand for genuine Mercedes parts, so breaker yards up and down the country want any salvage Merecedes they can get their hands on, especially newer models because they can ask premium prices for most of the parts.
Most salvage is sold though official auctions up an down the UK, often on the instructions of insurance houses wanting to get some return from their insurance payouts. There are many who research every single salvage option from Cat c’s to unclassifieds in the hope that these auction will deliver a car cheaper than buying one from the usual places. In reality though, the demand out strips supply, pushing up prices. For many the only way to restore these back to new within a resonable budget is to have the tools and access to the right parts, right from the start, those working in private garages trying their luck to get Mercedes parts at a cheaper price are probably going to pay more than they thought/
If there is a make of car that breakers struggle to obtain it is Mercedes, where obtaining a Mercedes scrap car or even a vehicle as a salvage project it very hard or expensive. If course this does not surprise you, vehicles that are make with this quality are clearly going to last a long time and even when they are a t a certain age have a lot of value. If there is a downfall, it is many older Mercedes are heavy on the fuel consumption, something which is more important than in previous years with the price of petrol.
Breakers find that in order to get the right Mercedes part they have to buy salvage cars form insurance companies or auction houses. Theses are rarely cheap and in some cases because the sum of the parts on the vehicle is worth more than the actual cars, these Mercedes salvage cars can go for similar amounts than a car that is in perfect working order.
Working on these cars is becoming more difficult especially where on the specific Mercedes equipment can be used, say for dealing with airbags or engine management. There are the usual stuff you should when working on any car, like intrinsically safe equipment, so that no fire are started when working near fuel.
What is certain, is that salvage projects are not always cost effective and that their are few Mercedes scrap cars available, great news if you own one, as depreciation will be low.
So suppose you have decided that Mercedes is the brand for you, you have chosen the model and not it is a case of deciding of buying, leasing or finance what is the solution.
Well Mercedes has a finance wizard as part of their website to help you decide how to proceed and what may be right for you. It does this by asking up to 10 questions to establish your needs and wants going forward, whether it is lease or even contract hire.
Car dealerships don’t always have the best finance options and sometimes by going to a lease broker or bank you can get a better deal, but this wizard certainly is a way fo doing your homework to establish if Mercedes Finance is right for you.

Probably why you are more likely to see chaufers in one of these than the BMW. lets hope the quality really is there, programmes such as Top Gear have stated for years that Mercedes are too expensive and the competition had caught up. GTK concept is a new concept in the making of cars. Danish tuner Kleemann, one of the leading hardcore roadsters in the world has come up with a new Mercedes Benz car built from the most standard version. This newly built car has enormous speed and power compared to the standard version. The standard Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG was turned into a monster of 540 bhp. This milestone step taken by Kleemann is considered as one of the best moves for the future cars. It is expected that it may lead to a future line of Mercedes Benz cars built by Kleemann.
The new car derived from the standard AMG has 540 bhp which means that it can reach 62 mph from 0 in a matter of 3.7 seconds. This speed is much higher than a Ferrari F430. The new car can also reach a top speed of 190 mph. The traditional 5.4 liter V8 engine of the AMG model was supercharged by an additional supercharger. In the standard version, the V8 engine has 360bhp. Aside from this supercharger, huge 380mm vented brakes are also added to the car. The specially designed Kleemann alloy wheels of 20” are added to make the massive monster. Mercedes 7G tronic seven speed auto box is retained in the new car while a Kleemann limited slip differential is included in the car.
Even though several interior and important parts of the car are changed, roof, doors and windows of the AMG model are all retained in the new version. Car designer Christian Brandt helped Kleemann to achieve GTK concept introducing new styling along with carbon fibre body panels.
